Francis Holland School, Sloane Square, London

End client: Francis Holland School   Contractor: Kind & Co   Architect: BDP Ltd

Suffolk & Essex Joinery have recently delivered a bespoke timber ceiling for a brand new Centre for Creative Learning at Francis Holland School in Sloane Square, London.

To realise architect Robyn Poulson’s very specific vision, at the centre of this project, the ceiling needed exactly the right materials. These consisted of American white ash slats, finished in our spray shop with a PU class 0 fire retardant lacquer and mounted onto an acoustic fabric covered cassette. With the design consisting of over 4,000 individually cut slats radiating from three circular skylights, Suffolk & Essex Joinery’s attention to detail in design, combined with their ability to manufacture and install to a high degree of accuracy, was critical to the success of this project.
